Did You Know...

That You Can Arrest Your Craving For and Drinking of Too Much Alcohol At Any Time, with Just 10 Naltrexone Tablets Dissolved in Water, Taken In Conjunction with 25 Baclofen, 50 Valium and 10 Escitalopram Tablets?

And that you can do this as a Home Detox. You are unlikely to need to go to Rehab?

And that these medications will cost you only a fraction of what you are spending on Alcohol?

* As soon as you can afford it you will need extra tablets for Relapse Prevention.

What is Naltrexone?
Naltrexone is a medication that has been known for over 25 years to be an excellent Alcohol Blocker.
It was approved by the FDA (Food and Drug Administration in the U.S.A) in 1984 and is used Worldwide.

How Does It Work?
Naltrexone works by occupying any empty Alcohol Receptors in your Brain.
Alcohol Receptors in your Brain are left empty as your liver and kidneys break down and excrete any Alcohol in your Body. It is those Alcohol Receptors which become Empty that cause you to Crave and Hang Out. This Craving and Hanging Out can be stopped by refilling the Empty Receptors. The Empty Receptors can be refilled with more Alcohol or, to withdraw from Alcohol, they can be refilled with Naltrexone and/or Baclofen. Combining Naltrexone and Baclofen often seems to work the best, although it is early days in the use of this combination.

What is Baclofen?
Baclofen is a medication that was developed in the 1920's for the treatment of Epilepsy and was then found to be very effective for muscle spasm.
It has more recently been found to have similar effects to Naltrexone in relieving problems with Alcohol. Dr Olivier Ameisen, a prominent Cardiologist who became a "near death" alcoholic, beat Alcoholism with Baclofen and has written about this in his book "The End of My Addiction". Baclofen also has a very beneficial calming effect that helps with Anxiety and Insomnia, which are very common and serious problems for Alcoholics.

When Naltrexone and/or Baclofen refill those of your Alcohol Receptors that have become empty, your Craving and Hanging Out stop, Alcohol is blocked out of your Alcohol Receptors, and your cycle of "Craving/Hanging Out --> Drinking --> Craving/Hanging Out --> Drinking", is broken.

The effective dose of Naltrexone varies for different people from 5 to 75 mgm per 24 hours. The effective dose of Baclofen varies for different people from 30 to 300 mgm per 24 hours. You should start with a low dose of Naltrexone and/or Baclofen and then gradually increase your doses until you reach a level that gives you the control over Alcohol that you want.

Tragically the only Naltrexone tablet size that has been available in the past (50 mgm) is too expensive and too strong for most people, giving nasty side effects. Many people get Brain based side effects e.g. Anxiety, Irritability and Insomnia, because their Endorphins are blocked for 24 hours by a 50 mgm Naltrexone tablet. A 50 mgm Naltrexone tablet also often causes gut side effects including loss of appetite, nausea and diarrhoea. Alcoholics who can't continue to take Naltrexone because of cost or because of side effects often soon relapse to Alcoholism when they stop Naltrexone.

You can quickly overcome the size of dose problem with Naltrexone by simply dissolving half a 50 mgm tablet in a 600 ml bottle of water. Then each day shake the bottle and measure out and drink increasing amounts of Naltrexone Mixture until you find by trial and error how much is needed to control your craving and to reduce your Alcohol intake to the level you want. Baclofen doesn't command a high price, has long been out of patent and no Pharmaceutical company has been
promoting it's use for Alcoholism in Australia. Pharmaceutical companies are required by law to do very extensive and expensive trials to prove a medication's effectiveness and safety before they can can get a license to advertise and sell it for a particular use. Presumably the prospect of profit from marketing Baclofen for the treatment of Alcohol problems are not sufficient to justify any Pharmaceutical company doing the costly trials required. However Doctors are free to prescribe Baclofen as they see fit and this medication has been used for 80 or 90 years and seems very safe. Because Baclofen comes in 10 mgm and 25 mgm tablets which can be easily broken in halves it is possible to fine-tune Baclofen doses using the tablets without the need to make them into a mixture.

In conjunction with Local Community Based and Global Internet Based Mental Health Programs and with a method for quickly and easily finding the optimum dose for each person, Naltrexone and Baclofen could be used Globally to give millions of Alcoholics great relief and a new life.

Because one 50 mgm tablet per day is the dose recommended by the manufacturers and usually prescribed by Doctors and is the only Naltrexone tablet size available, and because 50 mgm causes too many side effects and is too costly for most people, the great potential benefits of Naltrexone have largely been lost until now. The potential benefits of Baclofen have also largely been lost until now because very few Doctors know about its value in treating Alcohol Dependence.

It is time for these life transforming medications to be made very well known, fully understood and available Globally in forms that are effective, affordable and have low rates of side effects.
